Heveder Folk Ensemble Presents “Music and dances from remote villages of Transylvania”
2011. június 4.Helyszín: 300 Somerset Street, New Brunswick, NJ 08903
Szervező: American Hungarian Foundation
The Heveder Folk Ensemble is becoming one of Europe's most popular Hungarian folk music ensembles. Originally from the Hungarian city of Sepsiszentgyorgy (Sfantu-Gheorghe) located in the eastern part of Transylvania, they’re dedicated to learning authentic folk music from old masters living in remote villages, including mostly gypsy musicians who have preserved traditional village music through the centuries. Heveder has performed in Transylvania at many festivals and toured in Hungary and Western Europe. This summer marks their debut tour in North America. They will be accompanied by two of Hungary's most respected folk dance performers
and teachers, offering a colorful and authentic program. Don't miss this opportunity to see their unique and spirited event!
